Post-Christmas photos with my quilting and its new owners. Cory and Rachel in their sweatshirt jackets. Now I feel jealous enough of them to think I will make myself one in the near future. And Finn at his first Christmas with the bear claw quilt -- it was prescient of him to wear a matching shirt for the occasion. As one can see, he's learning mobility.
It's nice when Christmas comes on a Saturday because Sunday really seems like a needed day of rest. it was a relaxed day full of family, food, fun and lots of laughter -- what more can anyone want?
This strip quilt was made using drier sheet as the foundation. This quick and easy method is always fun because I can choose exactly which piece comes next but will always be surprised when I put several together and see the patterns formed.
The mid-70s are a surprise! Part of me remains in the 50s -- age, I mean, not decade of 20th century. It's a joy ride, new experiences land in my lap and I've become a better quilter, poet, writer than I expected. It's a rich life for a person never rich financially. Hey, this is what the mid-70s are like!
